Hi there, Rebecca!
Thanks so much for bringing another question to planDisney. I'm thrilled to hear of your family's upcoming visit to
Walt Disney World Resort and am happy to assist as you finalize your plans.
I know that our friends across the pond have some different
ticket options than we do here in the US. The current 14-Day Magic Ticket offers guests from the UK and Ireland 2 weeks' worth of magic, but I can appreciate that not everyone can accomodate such a lengthy visit. If you are hoping to purchase a shorter admission you should be able to do so once you've arrived stateside.
Theme park reservations were eliminated for date-based tickets as of January 9, 2024, so I'm hopeful you will have no trouble purchasing a 1-day ticket for your preferred park upon your arrival. Keep in mind that pricing for 1-day tickets is typically park-specific and can fluctuate based on the time of year. You can make your ticket purchase at the main entrance ticket booth of each theme park or stop by the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. I'd recommend securing your tickets at the start of your trip to avoid any delays on the day of your visit.
I'm not familiar with the family concession pass but my guess is that these are not date-based tickets. If so, I recommend reviewing the theme park reservation requirements for that particular form of admission and securing those before you begin travel. I'm required to secure a theme park reservation most days when I visit using my Annual Pass, but it's usually a quick and easy process. Doing so ensures that I get to begin my day at the park of my choice before hopping over to another park.
I'm not sure exactly when your family plans to visit but I hope you'll be able to experience
Tiana's Bayou Adventure, which is set to debut at Magic Kingdom Park sometime this summer. I'm crossing my fingers that my family will get to splash our way down the bayou when we visit in June.
Rebecca, I hope this was helpful. If we can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to let us know. I'm wishing you a fantastic trip this summer!
Magic and memories,
Amy
