Hiya, Eric! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! I'm so excited to hear that you'll be taking a magical, musical vacation with your family in April. There will be so much for you to see and do during
The Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary Celebration! Be sure to take some time and check out the
Beacons of Magic, which light up the nighttime landscape in each of the parks. Also, you won't want to miss the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which will be blooming just in time for your visit!
Eric, you are more than welcome to use the
My Disney Experience app while you travel to
Walt Disney World Resort with your family! This app is a little like holding a magic wand in your hand, unlocking everything that The Most Magical Place on Earth has to offer. While on your trip, you'll be able to view park maps, check wait times for attractions, and even
mobile order food. I love to mobile order food because I can make sure my meals and snacks are ready before I ever feel a rumbly in my tumbly! I'd recommend downloading and exploring the My Disney Experience app before you travel so you're familiar with its "phenomenal cosmic powers!"
In order to use the My Disney Experience app and add a little extra pixie dust to your trip, such as purchasing MagicBands, you'll want to make sure that your Walt Disney World Resort reservation is linked to your account. This mostly depends on how your trip is booked, but I can help you with a few steps that can get you started!
First, let's check and see if your reservation is already linked to your
My Disney Experience account. Log into your account online, hover your mouse over the My Disney Experience tab, and click
My Plans. Scroll down past My Plans, Reservations and Tickets and see if you're able to view the reservation and your travel party. If your reservation isn't linked, Hakuna Matata! No worries! As long as you have your reservation confirmation number, we can link it to your account. If you need help locating this number, you may need to reach out to your travel agent. Once you have that number, you can link that information to your My Disney Experience account by using the
Link Reservations and Purchases page and selecting Resort Reservation or Vacation Package.
You are also able to order MagicBands for your family prior to your trip! When you log into your account online, hover your mouse over the My Disney Experience tab and click on
My MagicBands and Cards. From here, select the person in your travel party that you'd like to choose a MagicBand for and customize it to your liking. Ta-da! You are one step closer to your magical vacation!
If you have any issues locating your reservation, utilizing the My Disney Experience app, or ordering your MagicBands, your best next step would be to reach out directly to the travel agent. This travel agent will be able to assist you in making sure you're able to access your reservation correctly and can finalize any details you'd like to add to your reservation!
Eric, I hope I was able to help answer your questions today. If you have any other questions, please visit us again!
See ya real soon!
