Hi. My family and I are traveling on the Disney Dream from Port Canaveral beginning 11/14/13. Disney noted that disembarkation begins at 7:30 am, but what time could we realistically plan on being off the ship by and to customs?

    Ahoy Brenda!
It is just about time for your vacation dreams to become a reality on the spectacular Disney Dream!  I'm sure your crew is counting down the days, hours and minutes until all the excitement begins!
From my past experiences at Port Canaveral, disembarkation is always a very smooth process.  Disney Cruise Line does offer a delicious "Welcome Home" breakfast in the main dining rooms on the last morning which is either scheduled for around 6:45 to 7:00 am for first seating Guests and around 8:00 am for second seating Guests.  Once you are finished with breakfast or if you decide to grab a quick bite at Cabanas (a continental option is offered here), you can make your way down the gangway.  You can estimate about 30 minutes to collect your luggage and pass through U.S. Customs.  The ship is usually cleared around 7:30 am so you can realistically be off the ship by 8:00-8:15 if you are one of the first ones off.
I hope my answer gives you a good idea of what to expect in just a few weeks, Brenda!  If you have any other last minute questions, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
