Hi Dana,
What a great way to send 2017 out and bring in 2018! We have been to Walt Disney World twice for
New Year's Eve and loved both times!
Our first trip we spent it in Magic Kingdom with a lot of guests! Our daughters were a few years older than your daughter. We wanted to be in our favorite place on this night. Main Street was closed, unless you wanted to exit, starting about 9:00 pm. We enjoyed the fireworks and the rides in Frontierland. Getting home was tough but we made it and slept in the next day.
Our second trip was two years ago with our best friends. Since the youngest traveling was 15, we opted for Epcot. Each country had a different celebration with our favorite being Japan. They had a silent dance party where everyone had headphones on and you could choose which dueling deejay you wanted to listen too.
Both were years were fun and magical. If you want space, head to Epcot. You can easily move through the different countries and you do not feel crowded.
If you have time on December 30, take a trip to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and watch the New Years Eve fireworks from the beach.
Whichever park you choose, you want to be in the park no later than 4:00 pm to make sure you have a spot.
Disney's Art of Animation may have a smaller celebration so be sure to ask when you arrive.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
Beth
