Hi, My family of three is arriving for our first trip to Disney on late Friday Nov. 23. Should we start at the Magic Kingdom, or avoid the holiday weekend and Extra Magic days and wait until Tuesday for this park, and start with Epcot or Animal Kingdom?

Hi, Laureen!  You are a smart woman to think now about how you might want to manage the holiday weekend crowd.

I would say by Sunday, the Magic Kingdom is a much less crowded place than it is over the holiday weekend.  Many people will be headed back home by then, and you should be able to enjoy the park without worrying about overwhelming crowds.  On Friday, I might head to EPCOT.  It will be open later than Animal Kingdom, and while it may be crowded, I always think EPCOT is big enough that you don't notice the crowd as much as you might at one of the other parks.  Saturday is probably a good day for Animal Kingdom.

I hope your very first Walt Disney World vacation is positively magical!
