My family will be going on our third trip to Disney World the second week of March. My daughter loves the pool more than the them parks--will we be able to swim much during our stay? We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge.

    Faith,

The average high in Orlando (as per the National Weather Service) is 78.8 degrees.

A little know secret about the pools at Walt Disney World resorts is that they are heated. We are not talking about a hot-tub steaming temperature, but certainly above normal.

So I would say that in March you stand a fair chance of being able to pull off a few swimming afternoons, though it will still depend on Mother Nature's temperament at the time. But of course early morning and later afternoons are going to be a bit brisk regardless, even with the heated water.

And she will love that pool! The 'stream' that feeds it starts in the resort lobby, and then turns into a rocky waterway before making it down to the pool. That and the nearby erupting geysers make for a very cool pool experience!

    Have a magical vacation!
