My family is thinking of going to WDW in Jan (15-19). I was curious if that is a good time and how crowed it is at that time.

    Jack,

With the exception of the weather, which is a bit on the chilly side, I think January is a great time to visit. I think of Walt Disney World as a summery place, so the cooler temperatures, which can make swimming a bit iffy on most days, just seems out of character for me. Average temperature is 61 degrees, with daily ranges from 50 to 70 degrees.

But if that is not an issue, then January is great. Crowd levels, with the exception of the time during the Disney Marathon and the first day of the year, are light. There could be a few more attractions closed for repairs, but that is hard to plan around at any time of year, so I would not sweat that detail.

All in all, it is a great time to visit, as long as the cooler weather does not put you off!

If I can provide some follow-up details, just let me know!

    Have a magical vacation!
