Hi! My family of 5 is thinking of staying at CBR in 2016. Do you know if the preferred rooms (Trinidad North & Martinique) will fit 5? I am worried about the walk to/from pool/food court from Aruba/Jamaica. Thank you!

Hi Stacey! Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is nearing completion of enhancements to replace all double beds with queen beds, and add a Murphy-style bed to the main console in the standard rooms. This fold-down bed is a tad bit smaller than a normal twin-size mattress, measuring 61”x30”, and will give you the ability to book a room for five Guests for your vacation next year. My five-year-old daughter slept on one of the Murphy beds and absolutely loved it!

Many Guests choose to book Preferred rooms for their close location to Old Port Royale. This is where you would find several dining and shopping options, an arcade, the main pool, and even campfires and movies to keep you entertained on those days when you choose to relax at the resort. Preferred view rooms are located in the Martinique village buildings 24, 25 and 26, and in Trinidad North buildings 31, 32 and 33. If you are unable to secure a Preferred category room, you can call Disney Reservations and ask for them to add a room request to your reservation for placement in the Aruba and Jamaica buildings, ideally 45, 46, 51 or 52. These rooms are just a short walk away from Old Port Royale area via connecting bridge, and are also convenient to a quiet pool and the first bus stop for most destinations. Please note that this would only be a request and cannot be guaranteed.

I hope this information helps you with your vacation planning. Please let me know if you have any further questions!
