Hello! My family is taking a trip to WDW in May of 2020 and I was wondering if you could purchase merchandise and food throughout the theme parks using Apple Pay.

Hi, Audry! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

While Guests at official Walt Disney World Resort hotels can use their MagicBands to charge purchases to their room’s folio, Guests who are staying off-site or who choose not to make charges to their room can use other payment methods including Apple Pay. Most food kiosks (like popcorn or Turkey Leg carts) allow you to tap your phone or your Apple Watch on the credit card reader, and you can do the same at most retail locations, too. The only places we haven’t been able to use Apple Pay include any of the Joffrey’s locations (including the mini donut stands at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park) and some of the small carts that sell items like glow wands and bubble wands.

Even when you plan to use Apple Pay or make charges to a MagicBand, I would still make sure you have an alternate form of payment (including cash or a debit card, Disney Gift Card or a Disney Visa Card) just to be safe.

Hopefully this answers your question, Audry. Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you.
