Hello. My family will be taking its first trip to DW and I am just wondering once you get into the park do you have pay to see the live shows, musical etc. Also do I need to reservations for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the whole trip?

Hi, Jennifer!  How exciting to be planning your first trip!

The very best thing about Walt Disney World is that once you pay for your admission ticket, all of the entertainment contained inside the park is included!  You'll see shows (some of them, like Festival of the Lion King, really rival Broadway productions!), musicians, street performances, parades, rides, and fireworks!  The only real extras inside the parks are your meals, souvenirs, face painting, temporary tattoos, and things along those lines.

You do not need to make advanced dining reservations for your whole trip.  What my family does is choose just a couple of restaurants we absolutely do not want to miss, and we make reservations to go to those restaurants to make sure we can get a table.  Some of the character meals and more popular restaurants do tend to book up in advance - especially during peak seasons.  It is rare for our family to have more than one advanced dining reservation per day - and usually, we might only make three or four for a whole week vacation.

Enjoy your first trip to Walt Disney World!  I hope it holds all the magic you anticipate!
