my family will be taking our very first trip to Disney the week of 12/10-12/17 with 3 park tickets: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood studios. How do i decide which day will be best and what order of the parks to plan..... any suggestions?

Hi there, Julie! Welcome to planDisney! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your trip to Walt Disney World Resort later this year!

The holiday season is a particularly magical time to visit Walt Disney World Resort! During this time of the year, you can find all sorts of seasonal offerings ranging from adorable merchandise to full special events. One of my favorite seasonal events is the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays! This limited-time festival invites Guests to experience various holiday traditions from around the world through music, storytelling, and food!

Planning the order of theme parks you will visit is not an easy task! This decision is very much based on personal preference and can vary based on who you ask! Personally, I like to make my decisions based on my family’s “must-dos”. These attractions and entertainment options that we absolutely must experience during our visit. I generally choose the park with the most “must-dos” as our first theme park to experience. This way, we have the most energy to devote to these offerings!

I would recommend thinking about what factors are most important to you and your family during your visit! Do you want to visit the parks with the most walking at the beginning of your trip? Are there offerings that are only available on select days in your chosen theme parks? Questions such as these are quite helpful when it comes to making your planning decisions!

Finally, once you have chosen the order to visit the parks, be sure to make reservations through the Disney Park Pass system! This will allow you to enter one of the four theme parks on a specific day during your trip. I also highly recommend keeping an eye on the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar online to verify availability during your travel dates!

I hope you have a wonderful time visiting Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can provide any additional information!
