Hi our family is taking our first ever cruise this Oct. on the Disney Wonder. We would like to use the nursery for our 14 month old but nervous about his separation anxiety. How does the nursery handle this? Thank you

    Ahoy Elizabeth!
Congratulations on your first Disney Cruise!  I know your voyage will be filled with magic, wonder and pixie dust!  My son was just a few months older than yours when we first set sail many years ago, and we also had the same concern.  Before our cruise, we begin leaving our son in the church nursery and with adults other than family for short periods of time to help him with any separation anxiety issues.  This definitely seemed to help him because he loved his time in Flounder's Reef.  In fact, I was able to add more hours once we were onboard.  The childcare care providers are very patient and will do their best to distract your little one during his visit if he becomes upset.  Your wave phone will be your "cell phone" on the ship, and if the nursery needs you, you will be notified. One feature that you will find comforting is the two-way mirror.  Since you will never be too far away, you can stop by at anytime to peek in and check on him without him knowing.  We did this often and were able to see our son sitting on Snow White's lap during story time.
My fingers are crossed that your little sailor does well at Flounder's Reef, Elizabeth!  If I can answer any additional questions, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
