Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nikki!
I am THRILLED to hear you will be sailing the high seas in just a few short days. How excited are you and your pirate crew to be stepping onboard so soon? My countdown to our next adventures is far too high, I like yours much better!
Sometimes when we are away on our hunt for treasure, we like to keep in touch with the pirates holding down the fort on land. Disney Cruise Line offers Cellular at Sea service as an optional
phone service network for guests while sailing. You do not need to sign up or register to use Cellular at Sea. It is available for use in your stateroom, you only need to turn on your phone. You will be roaming internationally, so keep in mind service may be unavailable at times depending on the ship's location. It is also important you contact your cellular carrier prior to your cruise to understand the costs associated with connecting to the Cellular at Sea network to make phone calls. These vary by carrier and can be quite significant depending on your itinerary.
Another option to stay in contact with your land-loving pirates is the Connect@Sea packages offered onboard. This is Disney Cruise Line's WiFi connection throughout the ship (including your stateroom) and multiple devices are able to share a package. Usage is tracked on a meter online so you can see how much data you have left, as well as the option to purchase more if needed. These packages can be purchased onboard the ship and are available in a variety of data sizes as well as a "pay as you go" option. Information on how to connect and purchase these packages is available in your stateroom upon your arrival.
No matter how you chose to stay connected with home, be sure to take some time for a little "arrr and arrr" as well! Bon voyage! Angie
