My family and I are taking a Disney Cruise in September and I am planning on taking my 3 year old on an excursion but wondered if I need to bring his car seat to get where we need to go.

Welcome back, Stacy! It's almost time to head out to sea with Disney Cruise Line! You must have your Port Adventures all lined up and your suitcases out and ready! I'm really excited for your family to experience the magic of sailing with Disney!

We began sailing when my children were very young, and at home they used car seats. We were happy to find out that we didn't need to haul those along on our cruise, as most of the transportation is in large motor coaches which do not accommodate car seats. That certainly made it easier, knowing we didn't have to bring those along to take up space. We always felt like our children were safe in those motor coaches as we made our way from from the airport to the cruise port with Disney Cruise Line's ground transfers, and again on the Port Adventures

I hope that helps as you continue planning your trip, Stacy!
