Welcome aboard planDisney, Stacie! I appreciate you sailing by with your question.
An Alaskan voyage aboard the
Disney Magic is such a spectacular choice. Alaska offers scenery unlike anywhere else, with towering glaciers, rugged coastlines, and opportunities to spot incredible wildlife along the way. It's a destination that leaves a lasting impression.
Since you're already thinking ahead about packing, I'd be happy to share the currently scheduled attire themes for your sailing. While adjustments can always be made, this is the lineup currently planned. It's also worth noting that Alaska sailings typically do not include a
Pirate Night. Instead, Guests can look forward to the
Frozen Deck Party, which is a unique entertainment offering found on many
itineraries to Alaska.
Night 1 – Cruise Casual:
Your vacation begins with a relaxed atmosphere. Casual vacation wear is perfectly appropriate as you settle into life onboard and enjoy your first evening of dining and entertainment.
Night 2 – Formal Night:
This is the dressiest evening of the cruise. Many Guests choose to wear elegant dresses, suits, or other special-occasion attire, making it a popular night for photos.
Night 3 – Cruise Casual & Frozen Deck Party:
Dinner attire returns to casual, but you'll also want to bring layers for the Frozen-themed deck celebration later that evening, especially with Alaska's cooler temperatures.
Night 4 – Cruise Casual:
Another comfortable evening that allows you to focus on enjoying the ship, shows, and dining experiences.
Night 5 – Semi-Formal Night:
For this evening, many Guests opt for attire that's a little more polished than casual but not quite as dressy as Formal Night. Think dress pants, button-down shirts, skirts, or cocktail-style dresses.
Nights 6 & 7 – Cruise Casual:
The final nights of your cruise maintain a relaxed dress code, making it easy to savor every remaining moment of your Disney adventure.
One tip I always share with fellow cruisers is to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before embarkation day. Once onboard, it becomes an incredibly useful resource for checking activity schedules, entertainment times, dining information, ship maps, and communicating with members of your travel party throughout the voyage.
Stacie, I hope this helps as you prepare for your upcoming Alaskan getaway. Wishing you smooth seas, unforgettable views, and plenty of Disney magic along the way! If any additional questions pop up before your sailing date, please visit us again at planDisney. We're always happy to help!
Seas the day,
