chEARs Ashley, and Happiest of upcoming Holidays to you!
You have picked a
fantastic Resort for your holiday vacation! Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge always looks
quintessentially "Christmas," and you have to take a
Holiday Sleigh Ride while you are there! The carriage ride takes you past the
magical Resort decorations as well as through the Campsite where the Guests get into their holiday decor!
Speaking of "touring," I just finished chatting with a Cast Member, and he assured me that when you
rent bicycles at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, helmets and child seats are complimentary. A quick reminder - Florida law mandates that everyone under the age of 16 wear a helmet!
Besides bike riding, there are so many
fun activities at your Resort! You can rent a boat for a sail along the Sassagoula River, or ride a pony at
Tri-Circle-D-Ranch. If you've ever wanted to
channel Robin Hood, take aim at a bulls-eye with the help of Archery Guides. After you are done exploring, jump on a boat and set sail for Magic Kingdom Park. The
water taxi will have you there in about 15 minutes and are my favorite part of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort!
If you want a bit more
holiday chEAR, when you finish at Magic Kingdom Park, head to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to see the
spectacular Gingerbread Display! It is so big you can walk in it, it smells divine, and the cookies and mini-houses for sale are delicious!
Ashley, if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come back. Have a Very Merry Vacation!
