Hi, my family and I are staying at the Ft Wilderness Campground the 1st week of Oct. this year. I've read that it's sometimes advisable not to visit the parks with EMH since it gets overcrowded. Would you suggest to take advantage of EMH or stay away?

    Hi Thomas!

Personally, our family loves to use Extra Magic Hours!

In general, my best advice is to go ahead and visit a park with Extra Magic Hours if you plan to  take advantage of those extra hours. For example, if you are an early-riser and can be at the parks when they open then definitely use them! You'll find that you can get quite a bit accomplished during the early morning.

However, if you'd like a later start to your morning, then I would avoid the park that had the extra magic hours that day.

We use the same plan for evening hours. If we're planning on staying up late and using the hours, then we definitely use them! Walt Disney World at night incredible so we rarely skip an opportunity to be in the parks late at night!

If early mornings and late nights aren't for you, one strategy many folks use is to visit the park which had extra magic hours the evening before. The thought behind this is that since that park had been open late the night before, most guests will choose a different park the next day.

    Hope this helps!
