My family will be staying at Wilder. villas 11/28 - 12/5. Have various ADRs at Cont. and Poly. Traveling with little ones....is it best to take Ferry to MK and then take monorail to the other hotels? How long would you plan for commuting - 1.5 hours?

    Hi Elizabeth!

Great choice of hotels! I just LOVE the Wilderness Lodge - it really is breathtaking. The villas carry that same theme as well and are just beautiful!

It seems like your Advance Dining Reservations are all very close to the Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom area, so you shouldn't have to plan on too long of travel times.

To get to the Contemporary, there is a boat ferry that provides transportation from the Wilderness Lodge to both the Contemporary and Fort Wilderness. The ferry makes a loop of the three resorts, and does not make other stops. This will make your trip very easy. I'd plan on about 45 min total for this trip - just in case you happen to just miss a ferry (they depart approximately every 20 minutes).

Alternately, if you've just missed the direct ferry, you could take the Magic Kingdom ferry and then either walk to the Contemporary (about 8 to 10 min walk) or ride the monorail (its the first stop from the Magic Kingdom on the resort loop).

To get to the Polynesian, your best bet will be to take the ferry to the Magic Kingdom. Once there, you have two choices: ferry or monorail to the Polynesian. For travel to this resort, I'd plan about an hour, which should get you there in plenty of time to explore the resort a little before your reservation. And, if for some reason you prefer an alternate route just to break up your travels, you can also take the ferry from Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary and then use the monorail to get to the Polynesian.

I hope that helps! And that I didn't confuse you with too many options - it really is pretty easy to travel among these resorts!
