Hello Ashley!
Welcome to
planDisney, where we love helping Guests like you with answers to their Disney vacation questions. I am so glad that you decided to stop by with yours, and it would be my pleasure to help you with an answer. I can think of nothing more magical than a stay at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, the flagship resort of
Walt Disney World. You will enjoy views of Cinderella’s Castle in
Magic Kingdom Park, the
Nighttime Spectacular, and the
Electrical Water Pageant. You are sure to have a magical vacation, making memories that you will cherish for a lifetime.
I recently enjoyed a stay at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. My family had the same plan since we also had a flight that departed much later in the day. I knew that Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort had showers in the bathrooms located by the main swimming pool, so I thought it would be the perfect plan, allowing us to clean up before departing the resort to catch our flight. Once we arrived at the resort, we noticed that the shower areas in the bathrooms were all closed as a safety measure since showering in the public facility would not allow for Guests to stay masked while indoors. The closing of the indoor public showers makes sense with the current mandate for masking while indoors. We decided to swim and lounge around the pool, knowing we would only be able to freshen up slightly before catching our flight. So, while there are pool showers located in the bathrooms near the swimming pools at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, it is likely that they will not be open for use during your stay. I highly recommend that you ask the Front Desk Cast Member when you arrive at your resort.
I hope this information helps you to plan for an unforgettable visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth and that you have a wonderful vacation. We are always here and eager to help answer your vacation questions, so please stop back by planDisney any time we can help.
