Hi Camille! Welcome to planDisney!
Every single one of the more than 25
Disney Resorts Collection hotels is amazing. They each have their own unique theming, delicious and intriguing snacks, and incredible areas to swim and play, but I have to say that
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter have to be a couple of my very favorites. I don't know if it's the nostalgia of staying here so many times as a child or the delicious beignets (let's be serious, it's probably the beignets) but I just keep returning to one Resort or the other!
When you stay at Disney's Port Orleans, whether it's Riverside or French Quarter, you're in for a beautiful and easy trip down the Sassagoula River to
Disney Springs. The
water taxi is a perfect way to relax after a long and exciting day at the Parks and is a great time to work up an appetite for some of the delectable treats you can find at Disney Springs, such as nearly half-pound cookies from
Gideon's Bakehouse or some homestyle Southern fried chicken from
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'.
While you're visiting Disney Springs you may want to think about taking in a show! The new
Drawn to Life presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney is a theatrical dream that is NOT to be missed. I've already seen this show twice with friends and I'm desperate to get my entire family down to Florida so that they can experience it too. Since you're just a quick boat ride away it will be easy to spend an evening enjoying dinner and a show at Disney Springs!
Enjoy the rest of the planning process and come back to see us again if you have any other questions!
