My family will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We have never stayed at this resort before and are curious as to an estimated travel time from the resort to any of the Parks due to dining reservations each day/ night. Thank you for any insight

    Hi Elizabeth!

We love new faces here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel, so we're so happy you stopped by with your question today!

I'm sure you're getting excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, and you've made a great choice with Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.  That's my family's go-to Moderate Resort Hotel.  We love the relaxed Southern charm, easy boat access to Downtown Disney and beautiful grounds.  If you have some extra time, it's just a short walk to nearby Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, where you can get some delicious beignets for a treat.

When taking the complimentary bus transportation, here are the approximate ride times from your hotel to each theme park once you're on board.  (I found these using the handy-dandy transportation wizard on the unofficial site www.ourlaughingplace.com.  It's a great resource for finding routes and estimated ride times.)

    Magic Kingdom: 17 minutes
    Epcot: 26 minutes
    Disney's Hollywood Studios: 14 minutes
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park: 26 minutes

I say "approximate ride times" since bus service is sometimes shared with French Quarter, which would add another 10-15 minutes onto the route.  Keep in mind, too, that buses run every 20 minutes or so, and you'll want to arrive 15-20 minutes before your reservation time at the restaurant to check in, so be sure to factor those into your planning.  As a general rule of thumb, I like to give myself 60-90 minutes from the hotel to a theme park if I'm traveling by bus just to be sure I arrive on time.

I hope that helps, Elizabeth, and wishing you a magical vacation!  Please stop by again with any other questions you have and we'd love to help!
