Welcome to planDisney, Lisa, and simply reading your question puts me in the holiday spirit! I adore the Florida charm of
Disney's Old Key West Resort, and no one does Christmas decor like Disney. You've hit upon the most magical combination possible! Let's look at some things to help make your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit the most festive it can be.
I did a little research and asked an Orange-Bird-loving Cast Member about the current bus stop order at the resort. Although it is subject to change, the most recent order has been Peninsular Road, Old Turtle Pond Road, South Point Road, Miller's Road, and Hospitality House. When going to Disney Springs, drivers often start at Hospitality House, so the route can always vary.
When my family stayed at Disney's Old Key West Resort last year, we had a blast taking the
ferryboat down the scenic Sassagoula River for dinner and shopping at
Disney Springs. It's a quick ride from the resort and a unique transportation option. My best tip for an evening at Disney Springs is to stop by
Gideon's Bakehouse for one of their half-pound cookies. The Peanut Butter Crunch will change your life!
As for refilling that mug, you should be able to get refills at
Good's Food to Go and Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks at the resort. You can fill your mug at any self-service beverage island at any resort hotel quick-service location and pool bar for the length of your stay. My family likes to make one last run for drinks after a day in the Theme Parks. My dad always called it our "Mug Walk" around our resort!
Lisa, I hope your upcoming visit is fabulous and full of cheer. And if you go mug walking, think of me! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
