    My family will be staying at Old Key West. We are flying in and will not have transportation. Does the resort take its guest to local stores near the resort. For example, Target, or Wal-Mart?

    Disney does not provide transportation to off-site retailers. Depending on what you're interested in buying, you may be able to find it right there at the resort.

    There are is a limited selection of groceries available for sale right in the gift shop at Old Key West (this is true at all the Disney Vacation Club resorts with villas). You won't find lots of choices - think pared down convenience store - but you will be able to purchase some of the basics: milk, juice, boxed cereal, a loaf of bread, dry pasta and sauce, frozen pizza, lunch meats, etc. I often stay at the villa resorts and find the offering at the WDW shops perfectly adequate to assemble a basic breakfast or lunch. If you're looking for more selection or more dinner-like food (meat, veggies), you will need to take a taxi to a store or there are many services that will deliver groceries to the WDW resorts. One popular service is gardengrocer.com. You can check their website for more information.

    Another alternative is to mail yourself a package at your resort. This works well for bulk items such as diapers or boxed snacks.
