Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ruth! Thanks for bringing your question to us!
It’s a great idea to take a break and rest when you plan on spending some time at the theme parks for dining reservations. My family does the same thing and we always come back to the parks feeling refreshed and looking forward to our meal!
Ruth, I recommend giving your party an hour to an hour and a half to get to your dining reservation when you have a meal planned inside any of the four
Walt Disney Resort theme parks. Remember that since you are re-entering you will have to set time aside for parking, security checks and walking to the restaurant itself.
In my experience, not everyone moves at the same pace and you don’t want anyone to feel rushed or stressed out. You also want to make sure you can enjoy your walk and stop to snap a picture or two if the moment calls for it! After all, it is your vacation!
If your reservation isn’t too late, you may be able to enjoy a beautiful nightly
Disney firework display or nighttime spectacular at any of the four theme parks. No matter which park you’re at, I’m sure it will be nothing short of magical!
