My family of 4 will be staying 5 nights at WDW. Wondering if the hopper tickets are worth getting. I have a 9 and 5 year old and I just feel like they will tire easily and hopping form park to park will only make it worse.

    Hi Jamie,

I can understand your thoughts that moving around the parks might be tiring, but I would not enjoy a Disney vacation without the park hopper option. While it does take a little time to move from one park to another, the transportation options are quite easy and operate continuously, which helps cut down on wait and travel times.

The great advantage to a park hopper is you have the ability to move to another park if the crowds become overwhelming. It saves a great deal of time if you can move opposite of the masses, and with a park hopper, you can visit one park and move on to another if the waits are to long. The other thing we enjoy doing is spending the morning and lunch in one park and then heading back to our resort for an afternoon swim. After our break, we head to a difference park in the evening for dinner and a change of pace. We have actually found that our energy levels are higher when we are changing the scenery and what type of attractions and parks we are experiencing.

The park hopper also gives us the ability to move to a second park if we have finished all we wanted to do in one location. We typically do not spend an entire day at Animal Kingdom as the park is smaller, with a park hopper, we can head over to Epcot for dinner and Illuminations. It also gives us the ability to go back and re-visit favorites at various parks, all in the same day.

I think you will find the hopper option to be quite convenient for your family and a great added bonus. Happy hopping!
