My family is staying at The Grand Floridian and looking into a second resort for a split stay. We want to move over to The Swan / Dolphin. Can bell services transfer our luggage between hotels?

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, Elizabeth! Your upcoming Disney vacation sounds like a dream come true. A split stay that begins at the Walt Disney World flagship resort? Yes, please! It will be like two vacations in one. Let’s see if we can find an answer to your question that is a perfect fit, like Cinderella and her glass slipper.

I love Walt Disney World split-stays, giving you two unique experiences when you change resorts!  Starting your stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian places you a short walk or quick monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park. You can watch the Electrical Water Pageant and Happily Ever After from your resort. There are some incredible restaurants at the Grand Floridian as well. When you move to Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel or Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, you can enjoy being close to the fun on Disney’s BoardWalk. You can also make short walks to the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Complimentary luggage transfers make moving from one Disney Resort hotel to another so easy! Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin are not officially included in this convenient, complimentary service. You can still request it when you arrive, but have a backup plan in place since the complimentary transfer service is not guaranteed and might not be available. This might be the perfect time to call the most adorable ride-share transportation option in Walt Disney World: the Minnie Van!

Guest staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel are eligible for Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours! Two great perks that give you a little extra time in the magic. The Extended Evening Hours are my favorite. I love the extra time in the parks once the Nighttime Spectacular has ended and the crowds get a little smaller.

I hope you have a supercalifragilistic Walt Disney World vacation, Elizabeth! If you have more questions or need recommendations, please come back here to planDisney. We are always happy to help.

    Happy Planning!
