My family is staying at the Disney Yacht Club in mid February. How much advance time should we give outselves to travel from resort to other areas such as restaurants where we have reservations? How long does it take to get from the hotel to the MK?

I am at the Yacht and Beach Club right now! I walked briskly and got from the Rose and Crown in the England pavilion at Epcot to the lobby of the Yacht Club in 12 minutes. Other Epcot restaurants, further away from the International Gateway entrance will take longer, but probably no more than 20-25 minutes.

You could also walk from the Yacht Club to Disney's Hollywood Studios, about a mile away, or you could take a shuttle boat. Because the boat makes several stops along the way, it takes slightly longer than walking (maybe 25 minutes), but you get to save your shoe leather.

From the Yacht Club, to get to the Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom, you need to take a bus. The bus ride to the Animal Kingdom is about 15 minutes and to the Magic Kingdom more like 20 minutes. However, you also need to factor in the time it takes to wait for the bus at your hotel, the time it takes to go through security at the parks, and walk time from the park entrance to your restaurant.

If I am staying at the Yacht and Beach Club, I generally leave myself about half an hour to get to any Epcot dining reservation, 45 minutes to get to a Studios dining reservation, and an hour to get to a reservation at either the Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom. If you have reservations at another resort, you need to add even more time to that, unless you drive or take a taxi directly there.
