My family are staying at a Disney resort and have a dining plan. 1 child is under 10 and 1 over 10. Are we able to take 2 children's meals from the child meal allowance at lunch and 2 adult meals from the older child allowance at dinner? Or vice versa.

Hi, Karen! I love the convenience of the Disney Dining Plans and there are so many delicious dining options these days! I had the chance to dine at the new Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort recently and have to say it is at the top of my must-do-again list! Everything we ate was amazing and the views just blew me away. Best of all - it only requires one Table Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan! I highly recommend you put it on your itinerary.

When configuring your Disney Resort Vacation Package, the ages of your children do help determine its price. As such, your younger child will have a set number of "child entitlements" and your older child will have a set number of "adult entitlements." Children do need to order from the Kids Menu where available. Older "Disney adult" children are welcome to order from the Kids Menu if they prefer, but note that it does lessen the value of your dining plan. This is especially true at Table Service dining locations, where the price of a regular meal will be quite higher than the child's meal.

I am not sure which Disney Dining Plan you purchased, but if it includes Table Service meals, then you will see in your dining plan tracking a total of how many Adult and Child Table Service entitlements remain. The last time I used the Disney Dining Plan, all Quick Service entitlements were lumped together to just show a grand total that remains, no matter if they were Adult or Child. Note that this is subject to change at any time. You are welcome to ask the Cast Member assisting you at a Quick Service dining location if both of your children could order from the regular menu. It never hurts to ask and you never know what pixie dust may find you.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
