My family and I are staying at a deluxe resort during Thanksgiving week. Are there any extended evening hours for any of the parks that week? I know there are holiday parties at night so I’m not sure extended evening hours even happen during the holidays.

    Hiya, Allison!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your question! Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World Resort sounds like the perfect way to celebrate a holiday that's centered around family, traditions, and giving thanks. I hope it's a magical week for you and your family! The Hours & Events Calendar on the Walt Disney World website typically shows dates and times for parks 60 days out, and right now, it looks like the calendar goes up to November 15. Check back in a few weeks to see the update on the calendar. In the past, the theme parks have had Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours during the holiday week!

Your visit will coincide with the return of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which will begin on November 29th! This merry festival celebrates holidays around the world, including Diwali, Chanukah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. Enjoy dining on dishes from around the world, dancing along to traditional music, and relive the story of Christmas at EPCOT Candlelight Processional. The Holiday Cookie Stroll is a tradition my family and I always enjoy, and my daughters are so excited to participate in Olaf's Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt this year. While we wait for the 2024 Foodie Guide to be released, check out 2023's Foodie Guide to give you an idea of what to expect!

Allison, I hope you have the most magical Thanksgiving week at Walt Disney World! If you need additional pixie dust to plan your visit, send me your questions any time. You've got a friend in me!
