My family of 5 will be staying at the Contemporary the first week of June. While there we will be celebrating our sons 8th birthday. We will also be celebrating our 10 yr wedding anniversary. Was wondering how to make these 2 occasions even more special.

    HI Stephanie!

You will love the Contemporary Resort! We just stayed there for our last vacation, for my birthday, and we loved the dining options, recreation and pools! You will especially like being right on the monorail line for Magic Kingdom!

When you arrive, make sure to ask a Cast Member for a "Happy Birthday" button for your son and a "Celebration" button for you and your husband for your anniversary. I recommend making Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) in advance and notating your son's birthday on his special birthday meal. You can dine at Chef Mickey's, which is in The Contemporary Resort, and you can dine with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. They will even give him a birthday card signed from all of the characters.

For your anniversary, plan a special anniversary meal, such as at Victoria & Albert's at the Grand Floridian Resort or California Grill at The Contemporary. Note that it's your anniversary on your ADR. There are Children's Activity Centers at some of the resorts.  Consider enrolling your son in the Children's Activity Center at Polynesian (which is right next to Grand Floridian) while you dine at Victoria & Albert's so you can have a nice dinner together. You can also plan an in-room celebration for your son to celebrate his birthday. This is an amazing way to celebrate a birthday at the most magical place on earth!!

    Magically,
