My family will be staying at Art of Animation. We have 8:10 am reservations at The Chrystal Palace. What time should we leave Art of Animation, and will we be able to enter Magic Kingdom at that time?

    Hi Lori,

    Welcome to planDisney!

Your arrival date is coming up soon! I can imagine the excitement in your household! The Crystal Palace is one of our favorite restaurants. From Disney's Art of Animation resort, I would allow at least an hour to get to the restaurant. Keep in mind that Walt Disney World® Bus Service might not be running that early. Service generally begins 45 minutes prior to park opening.

So, check the park hours for the dates of your visit. On your arrival date, it currently looks as if early entry for guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels starts at 8:30 a.m. A bus should be available by 7:45 a.m. Although they may appear earlier, I would not risk it. In the past, when we needed to get to an early breakfast reservation, we used a ride share service like Lyft or Uber. Or, if you want a truly magical ride, try Disney Minnie Van™ Service Connected by Lyft.

When you arrive to the Magic Kingdom entrance, if they are not letting folks in yet, check with a cast member and tell them you have a breakfast reservation at 8:10 a.m. If they are letting folks in already, you should be able to get to the restaurant. Our early reservations at Magic Kingdom are typically at Cinderella's Royal Table so we usually have to check with a cast member to show them our reservation to get behind the roped off areas and to the restaurant.

Lori, I hope this helps! Of course, also check with the cast members at the front desk when you arrive. They may have additional details about the bus transportation on the days of your visit!

    Magic and memories,
