Hi, Stacey! When I have the whole family with me during a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, I always have a grocery delivery service do my shopping for me. I do not want to miss one single magical experience, so it is well worth it to me to have someone else do the chores! There are lots of basic things you may need right at your
resort's gift shop or merchandise location, such as milk, cold cuts, bread, fruit, toiletries, and even microwavable meals. However, if you have an expanded list or specific dietary items that are important to you, then I find it best to call on services like Garden Grocer, Instacart, or Amazon Prime Now.
In my experiences with Garden Grocer, they are able to drop off your items with Bell Services, who do have cold storage areas for perishables. Once you are in your room, just use your in-room phone to give them a call and they will be happy to deliver the order to your room or you can stop by their lobby area desk to retrieve the items. You can do the same with Instacart and Amazon Prime Now, or you can select a prearranged time to meet the shopper in the lobby of your resort. Be sure to keep your phone on you in the few hours before that meeting time, as the shopper may text you with information on items that are no longer available. In my experience, I have been able to work with them on substitutions for those items.
Please note that if you have Bell Services bring your grocery order to your room, then there is currently a $6 charge that will be added to your
guest folio. This fee is subject to change at any time and does not include any tip that you may choose to provide for the assistance.
Thanks for your question and please let us know if you have any others!
