My family will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge Nov 16 - 24. We know the Christmas decorations should be up in the parks by than, but wondering if they will be up at the resorts yet. Haven't been able to find any type of schedule online. Thanks.

Hi there, Jeremy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and ask your Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

The Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are a particularly magical time to visit! During this season, there are many special offerings that will inspire holiday cheer in each and every Guest! You and your family will have the opportunity to experience classic events such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to all-new festivities at Disney's Animal Kingdom so be prepared for a holly jolly good time!

The decorating process at Walt Disney World Resort is a highly coordinated process that takes weeks to execute! As you've mentioned, many of the theme parks will undergo their initial transformations as early as November 1st but this is just the first step in the process. It actually takes weeks for the entire property to receive the full holiday makeover! All of the Disney Resort hotels tend to be decorated at different times depending on the year. Generally, the majority of Disney Resort hotels are decorated in time for Thanksgiving. This means that you may arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and find it fully decorated for the season or you and your family may have the opportunity to experience its transformation during your stay!

Have fun continuing to plan for your holiday vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!
