Family has stayed at POP before and enjoyed our stay. Stayed with CBR 15+ years ago and enjoyed it as well. My family is on a budget, but saw where Laura would not even recommend a value resort to anyone. Should we choose moderate for our upcoming stay?

I think my dear friend Laura must have been an ultra-princessy mood when she answered that question -- she gets that way sometimes :-).  I happen to know that she herself is staying at a Disney value resort this very weekend. When I asked her why she was staying there, the answer was, "The price is too good to pass up."

Are there more more amenities at the moderate and deluxe hotels than at the values, yes. Can you still have a great time at the value resorts, absolutely. The Disney value resorts are a great choice for families (and Moms Panelists) on a budget. The rooms are clean, the themeing is fun, there is plentiful free transportation to the theme parks, and all for a very reasonable price.  If you've enjoyed the Pop Century resort before, there's no reason to think that you won't again.

If you need a resort that has a choice of restaurants, a coffee maker in your room, or slides at the pools, then you might consider upgrading to a moderate. If you need an inexpensive place to lay your head, then by all means stay at a Disney value resort.
