My family stayed at CBR this past spring. We had a lot of problems w/bus transport to MK (other parks were OK). Even allowing for an hour+, we were still late to all of our MK-area ADRs (B and D). Is this normal for CBR? Should we avoid CBR for future trip

    Hi Elizabeth,

Sorry to hear that you had so many problems with your Magic Kingdom transportation. While it is impossible for me to guess on the problems that may have been going on during your stay, I can tell you that it sounds like you experienced a bad stretch. Typically the buses run every twenty minutes from the parks and resorts. While some resorts are obviously further from certain parks, the buses operate on a similar schedule at every Disney resort.

There are times that unexpected things happen, like a problem loading a wheelchair, a bus that has mechanical problems. a Disney guest with questions, a delay at one of the resort pickups, a change in route due to traffic and so many more factors. One small thing can cause the whole schedule to be thrown off which then can put the entire route behind for the whole day.

We ran into a similar problem a couple of years ago at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It seemed everytime we wanted to head to Epcot, the buses were delayed and we were always running late. Our family loves using the Disney transportation system. We find it easy and generally very reliable. We love not having to worry about directions, where we parked our car and traffic. However with the ease comes the occasional delay. Despite the occasional bad luck, we continue to rely on it for our needs. I think you will find you hit a touch of bad luck during your stay and that experience is not the norm. If you do run into this problem again, feel free to ask a Cast Member about the delay. They may not be aware of any problems and may be able to get you on your way quickly.
