Can my family stay and the Grand Floridian if we have tickets for my family to Mickey's Merry Christmas Party? If so, what is the best way to go about doing this?

    Hi Blair, welcome to planDisney!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is the event of the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort. Magic Kingdom Park is transformed into a winter wonderland complete with cookies and hot cocoa at the Holiday Treat Locations and falling snow on Main Street, U.S.A. The planDisney Pocket Guide has everything you need to know about attending this special ticket event. My top tip for attending the Christmas party is to arrive at Magic Kingdom Park by 3:30 p.m. so you can join the queue of party Guests waiting to enter the park at 4:00 p.m. The official party doesn't start until 7:00 p.m., which gives you a couple hours of pre-party magic.

I understand you and your family have secured spots on Mickey's exclusive Guest list for an upcoming Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Congrats! It also sounds like you'd like to spend some time visiting Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. A 14-feet tall gingerbread house is currently taking up prime real estate in the Grand Floridian's lobby. The scent of fresh gingerbread combined with the sound of live piano music is like hot cocoa for the soul.

My tip for visiting Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa on your Christmas party night is to park at the Ticket and Transportation Center and take the Resort Monorail (not the Express Monorail) two stops to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. After your visit, you can enjoy the 15-minute walk to Magic Kingdom Park or save your steps and take the Resort Monorail one more stop to the park entrance. Because my top party tip was to arrive at Magic Kingdom Park by 3:30 p.m., my recommendation is to arrive at the Ticket and Transportation Center by 2:00 p.m. This gives you plenty of time to park, ride, and soak up the elegant seasonal magic of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. If you'd prefer to visit the Grand Floridian after the party, just know that the monorail typically closes one hour after the park.

I hope this is the information you were looking for, Blair. If I misunderstood your question, please contact me directly and include as many clarifying details as possible.
