My family would like to stay at FW Campground for an extended period in our travel trailer. Does Disney allow stays of a month or more? Any deals for longer stays? Thanks!

I wish Moms Panelist Brigitta was still here to answer your question. She would tell you that, yes, you are allowed to have extended stays at the Fort Wilderness Campground. As a child, Bri spent months at a time living with her family at Fort Wilderness. Awesome!

I took a Fort Wilderness tour last year and had the opportunity to speak with several campers who make FW their home for 3-4 months of the year. Some even homeschool their children right at WDW. (Those are some LUCKY kids.) It's a great winter activity to walk around FW and look at all the wonderful holiday decorations that these long-term Disney residents hand each year.

The manager I met at FW did mention that there is sometimes the possibility for a price break for longer stays. These discounts are not always in place and may change depending on the season or other factors. For more pricing information you would need to speak with Disney reservations directly at 407-W-DISNEY.
