If our family of 5 were to stay in a family suite at Art of Animation, could we request a roll away/cot? My children prefer their own beds, which means we need 4 beds, but the family suites only have 3 beds. We would still be under the max occupancy.

    Hi Crystal!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with a great question!  My own family is now a family of five as well and I know how important the extra space, sleeping surfaces, and privacy are to everyone - especially when you're on vacation.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a great option for larger families as the family suites can sleep up to six adults.  The suites feature a queen bed in a separate bedroom area with a full bathroom including a walk-in shower.  In the living room area, you'll find a pull-out sleep sofa and a small kitchenette area.  The dining area has a table that also folds down into a third bed.  Besides all of the sleeping surfaces, I love the fact that these suites also feature a second full bathroom with a tub and shower combo.  The amenities at this particular resort are great as well including the largest pool at Walt Disney World Resort themed around Fining Nemo and access to Disney Skyliner for an easy ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

Crystal, I was finding some conflicting information regarding your question about requesting a rollaway bed or cot so I just kept swimming over to a friendly Cast Member chat and he shared that you should be able to make that request.  Availability is not guaranteed, but you can note the request ahead of your arrival and when you check in to see if they can accommodate you.

If having the extra sleeping surfaces is important to your family and you don't want to risk not having a rollaway or cot available, there are a few other options.  You could always look at a Deluxe Villa room.  These accommodations vary in size from studios up to multi-bedroom units.  I loved our previous stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village.  My son had a great time watching all of the animals roam the savanna and there are several delicious dining options including one of my favorites, Sanaa.  Another option would be making a reservation for two hotel rooms and requesting adjoining rooms at a resort of your choice.

Crystal, I hope this helps as you plan for your family vacation!  Please visit us again at planDisney with any other vacation planning questions in the future - we're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
