Our family will be spending a day at Magic Kingdom. I made a reservation to eat dinner at the sci-fi diner at Disney Hollywood. Can this be a problem? How will we travel from one park to another? How much time is needed to go from one to the other?

Hi, Carolynn! If you have the Park Hopper option on your tickets then going from one theme park to another is just a matter of logistics.  Without the Park Hopper option, you will not be allowed inside the second theme park of the day.  To travel from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Hollywood Studios, you will first need to get to the Ticket and Transportation Center.  You can either ride the Monorail or take a boat to it from the Magic Kingdom.  Once there, you can catch a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  You should allow 35 to 45 minutes from gate to gate and then also allow for time to walk to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater  restaurant (5 to 10 minutes, depending on crowd level).  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
