For a family of six what is our best plan if we want to stay at the African resort?

Hi, Elise!  Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is an amazing resort, with a large collection of African art, an incredible savannah filled with animals, phenomenal restaurants, and great activities.

For a family of six, there are two options.  Your first option is to book two rooms, and request adjoining rooms.  Although your request cannot be guaranteed, they do make every effort to keep you guys together.

The option I would choose would be to book one of the new Disney Vacation Club villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge.  For a family your size, you would need a two bedroom villa, but you will get two full bathrooms, one of which is a master bathroom with a jacuzzi tub.  You also have full kitchen facilities, including a full size refrigerator, microwave, oven, and dishwasher.  One of my favorite features is the washer and dryer.  It allows me to pack less, and especially if you are flying, this saves extra baggage fees with the airlines!

You can request a savannah view from your villa to see the animals, and the villa really does give a family of six plenty of room to spread out.  Having the kitchen also helps save money on things like breakfast, snacks, and drinks.

    Have a great trip!
