Welcome aboard, Mackenzie! I am really looking forward to my own sailing on the
Disney Wonder this fall from San Diego too! You're in for so many magical moments from the second you wake up until you put your head back on the pillow at night!
Late dining is actually my family's favorite dining time when we sail with Disney. You didn't mention if you have young kids, but if you do, there's an extra perk during late dining only. Dine n' Play is offered during this seating. If you'd like your kids to participate, their meals are brought first, and then about 45 minutes to an hour into the seating, counselors from the clubs arrive to take any kids who'd like to go play in the clubs, while Mom and Dad get to finish their dinner alone. It's the best of both worlds! Family time and alone time for the parents while they kids have the time of their lives in the Youth Clubs!
We also enjoy attending the earlier
Broadway-style show before dinner with other guests who have the later dining. The show begins about 6:00 p.m. (another begins at 8:15 p.m. for those who have earlier dining.) After a fun day onboard or in port, you'll have plenty of time to rest, shower and get ready before the show. You're going to love the new stage show Frozen: A Musical Spectacular! I've seen it twice already and it's my favorite on all the ships!
I'm especially excited for you to experience the brand new
Tiana's Place restaurant on the Wonder! My family and I loved our meals there when we last sailed and can't wait to dine and dance with Tiana and Louis again this fall!
Happy planning, Mackenzie!
