Hey there, Micaela, welcome to planDisney!
Hooray! You’re going to Walt Disney World with a dining plan. Did you know the
Disney Dining Plan is what won my husband over? Growing up, a Disney Vacation was my family’s “norm”. However, they were not for my husband. Over the past 13 years we’ve taken our own family and I can see the shift in my husband as he joins me in becoming a “Disney adult”. Which I am loving because it makes the planning process even more exciting for us hearing his “must-dos”.
Micaela, traveling in a larger group with multiple rooms is not a problem! We do this often with my children’s grandparents or my siblings. One time we did enjoy a
family suite at
Art of Animation and that was so memorable. I don’t think we slept much because of the continual bonding that happened during the bedtime routine. I think the constant laughter from our open to close Disney days is what did it.
The thing you do want to keep in mind is making sure you select the total number of members in your party when
scheduling your dining reservations. This will allow the restaurant(s) the chance to plan and accommodate your party size so that you all are sitting together. For
Quick-Service meals, you won’t have to do this as you can send a couple people to grab tables together while the rest of your party orders. You might even want to consider using
Mobile Ordering for those quick-service meals since your party is larger. That way everyone can order exactly what they would like and how they would like it.
Have a magical vacation and please be sure to enjoy a Mickey shaped treat for me!
