My family has scheduled a trip to Disney next summer. My children are staying in a Treehouse in Saratoga Springs, and my wife and I are in a studio on the same property. How far of a walk can we expect from the studio to the Treehouse area? Thank you.

    Hello Robert!

The Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are some of the most unique accommodations at the Walt Disney World Resort. These octagonal suites are elevated into the trees for a bird’s eye view of the gorgeous wooded area near the Sassagoula River. The Treehouse Villas have a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and sleep up to 9 Guests!

Part of the beauty of the Treehouse Villas is that they are nestled into the secluded wooded area adjacent to the main resort. While you can walk to the Treehouse Villas, I am going to recommend everyone consider using the internal resort bus. It is about a 15-minute walk from the Treehouse Villa area to The Springs, which is the main area of the resort where you will find check-in, the gift shop, and dining. Depending on what area of the resort your Deluxe Studio is located in, you could be even further. For example, if your Deluxe Studio ends up in Congress Park, which is closest to Disney Springs, it might take 30 minutes or more to walk to the Treehouse Villas.

If you’d like to be as close to the Treehouse Villas as possible, I would recommend you put in a room request for your Deluxe Studio to be in The Grandstand section. From the general area of the Treehouse Villas to the bus stop at The Grandstand is about a 10-minute walk. If your room reservation was made with Disney Vacation Club, you would want to contact Member Services. If you made a cash reservation directly through Disney, you will contact the Walt Disney Travel Company. You’ll want both reservation numbers available when you call and ask to have it noted that you are a group traveling together. There is a special code for exactly these situations. You can also request to be in The Grandstand section at that time as well. While these are only requests and they cannot be guaranteed, the Cast Members making room assignments will do their very best to accommodate you.

I hope this helps with your planning, Robert. And with so much time before your trip, I hope we’ll see you return with more questions before your visit! We love talking Disney and are here to help you plan your practically perfect Walt Disney World vacation!

    Have a Magical Day!
