    My family and I are scheduled to go on the 6 night Western Caribbean cruise leaving 12/25/12 from Galveston, TX. I am just curious why there are only two ports of call and we are not making a stop on Cataway Cay for that cruise when many other cruises do.

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I'm so glad you are hEAR!  Your December sailing on the Disney Magic will be extra magical because the ship will be overflowing with most beautiful holiday decor from stem to stern! 
    I looked into the Galveston itineraries, and it looks like the eight-night sailings are the ones able to make it over to Castaway Cay and back to Galveston.  Since you are on a six-night Caribbean sailing, there is not enough time to make it back within your time frame.  On your sailing, you have three glorious sea days in which your family can enjoy the ship as your destination!  When I cruised this past summer, we had four sea days to enjoy all the activities planned by the amazing cruise staff!  We filled our days relaxing by the pool, spending time in the kids' clubs, brunch at Palo, seeing movies in the Buena Vista Theatre, and so much more!
