My family is saving up for a trip in 2020, we fell in love with Art of Animation. Right now we have enough saved to book a Little Mermaid room but it would love to stay in a family suite if we can save enough money. Can pay for an upgrade at check in?

Hello there, Dreena! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to stop by and ask another wonderful Walt Disney World Resort question!

You and your family are certainly not the only ones that have fallen in love with Disney's Art of Animation Resort! As a self-proclaimed Disney animation nerd, there's nothing I love more than perusing the gorgeous art that lines the walls of Animation Hall. There's also the amazingly immersive animated environments found throughout the Disney Resort hotel that capture the stories of Finding Nemo, Cars, Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. You truly do feel as though you are walking right into these classic Disney Pixar and Walt Disney films!

You are most definitively allowed to upgrade your Disney Resort hotel room if you would like to do so after making your reservation! However, it is important to point out that the family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort are incredibly popular and tend to fill up rather quickly! So, you are definitively welcome to ask for an upgrade upon check-in but a family suite may not be available at that time. If you're interested in upgrading, I would recommend trying to solidify your budget and keeping an eye on the family suites availability prior to your arrival. Due to the popularity of this Disney Resort hotel, you will want to change your reservation sooner rather than later!

I hope this information assists you in continuing to plan for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
