Welcome aboard, John! Congratulations on your very first adventure at sea with Disney Cruise Line! I'm so excited for your family to experience all that Disney has to offer on the open seas! And, over Easter? Well, you're in for even more memories!
My family is Roman Catholic as well. In fact, my husband will be ordained a Permanent Deacon for our Archdiocese the week after Easter this year! So, I understand that attending weekly Mass, and especially Easter Mass is very important, no matter where we are traveling. You'll be super happy to hear that over the Easter, and also Christmas, sailings, Disney Cruise Line brings a Catholic priest onboard to celebrate Mass. Check your Personal Navigator or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once onboard for specific location and times for your cruise, but last Easter, the Catholic Mass was held in the
Walt Disney Theatre at 8:30 a.m. Two Non-Denominational Easter Services were held as well at different times.
Now, I can't guarantee it, but in previous years, the visiting priest has also offered daily Mass during the Easter and Christmas sailings, so you might ask about that if you're interested in attending daily Mass as well. Typically, these daily Masses have been held in the smaller
Buena Vista Theatre at 8:00 or 8:30 each morning. Mass at sea on Easter and throughout that week is something really special, John. I'm glad you'll have the chance to celebrate the Eucharist with hundreds of your newest friends onboard the Disney Fantasy this year!
Have fun planning this adventure, and please feel free to swing back by with any other questions before you set sail! I'm happy to help!
