Ahoy Jacob!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am very excited that you will be cruising with Captain Mickey on the
Disney Dream next month!
I can certainly understand your concern for the guests in your party and their accessibility for the muster drill and any emergency during your sailing. Safety and
accessibility for all guests is a top priority for Disney Cruise Line. Each muster location is accessible and has space for anyone using mobility assistance devices including scooters. Guests can remain on their scooters during the muster drill as well.
To make the process easier, you can arrive at your muster station before the start of the scheduled muster drill to help easily locate a place for them to comfortably park for the duration of the drill. A Cast Member will also be available at the start of the drill to help. Once the drill starts, the elevators and common areas can fill up quickly, so an early arrival may make their path to the muster station easier. The scheduled time of the muster drill will be announced over the speaker system and also be provided to you when you check in at the cruise terminal. You can find your muster location on your Key to the World Card and on the back of your stateroom door.
I would also recommend contacting
Disney Cruise Line Special Services to inform them you have guests in your party that will be utilizing a mobility device. They can provide any additional recommendations or make arrangements to provide the best experience for your party while onboard.
Enjoy making magical memories with all of your pirate crew! Angie
