My family and I will be returning to Disney this May. We have been to disney many times in the past, but we have never stayed at a Disney Resort. We have a 5 year old girl can you tell us which resort would be the best choice for her age?

    Hi Jenny!

You've picked a great time to visit Walt Disney World! May usually has great weather!

If you're looking in the Deluxe resort category and you daughter enjoys the water, the the Beach and Yacht club may be a great pick for your family. The pool area at these resorts (its a shared area) is incredible! From a super slide from a pirate ship, to a lazy river, to a sand bottom pool, there is plenty to offer here! Another great perk of this resort is that it is within walking distance of Epcot and the Boardwalk. Hollywood Studios is only a boat ride (or long walk) away as well.

The Polynesian and Contemporary are also great options that offer closer proximity to the Magic Kingdom. Our family prefers the Volcano pool area of the Polynesian to that of the Contemporary, but both are great!

In the moderate resort category, Port Orleans French Quarter is a great option. I love the New Orleans theme of the resort, the beignets in the food court and the boat ride to Downtown Disney!

If you're looking in the value category of resorts, the All Star Sports is a great option as is Pop Century. The pools here are fun but your daughter may miss the pool slides. I know my kids do!

I hope this helps with your planning! Enjoy!
