Howdy, Donna, and welcome to planDisney! I'm tickled to hear you had a rootin'-tootin' time on your recent
Walt Disney World Resort visit, so let's talk about how to recreate a little of that magic at home.
My family tried the plant-based meal at
Roundup Rodeo BBQ this summer, and we loved it! So I understand wanting to make your own version of delectable Disney dishes.
I spoke to a badge-wearing Cast Member who said exact recipes are unavailable for dishes in the theme parks. Something about magic ingredients and top-secret formulas. But if anyone in your family has a food allergy, she suggests contacting the
Special Dietary Requests team, and they might provide the ingredients list.
Another option is to ask your server the next time you're at this restaurant. I know, I know. That means you'd have to go back and eat there again. But it's all in the name of research, right? I've found that servers are usually willing to talk to the chef on your behalf, and they might provide some basic information about that dreamy potato salad.
Here's a fun detail for your family to look for next time you're at Roundup Rodeo BBQ. The back wall is covered in a nearly-completed puzzle, but two pieces are missing. Both pieces can be found in
Toy Story Land, so have a contest to see who can spot them! But if Andy comes along, remember to FREEZE!
Donna, I'm sending pixie dust and side dishes so you'll rustle up some yummy grub on your next Disney visit. Please
stop by planDisney anytime. I'll keep the snakes out of my boots!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
