Our family of 4 recently renewed our pirate pass. Right now, it looks like we're on track to adopt a child in 4 months, making us a family of 5! Is it possible to add him to our existing plan at that time?

    Hey there, Joshua! Welcome!

It sounds like congratulations are in order! And there is no more magical place to celebrate than Walt Disney World. I hope your new family member will jump right in and start making memories for all of you to cherish in the years to come.

Now about that annual pass situation. As you know, there has been a temporary suspension in the sales of most annual passes, including the Disney Pirate Pass. The only new annual pass available is the Florida Resident Disney Pixie Dust Pass. Officially, that's the only one available to purchase for your new child.

I did just chat with a Cast Member, though, Joshua. While I won't say it was all good news, it does sound like there may be a tiny bit of wiggle room. She told me there have been instances where a mom and dad have an existing annual pass, and they have a child who has turned three during this period where there is only one option in annual passes. It has occurred where the parents with active annual passes have been permitted to purchase an annual pass of the same type for their newly minted three-year-old, who up to that point didn't need a pass. She had not encountered a situation like yours, but her recommendation was to reach out to a Cast Member in Annual Passes and see if they can add your new little one.

She made no promises, Joshua, but she did give us a starting point!

I am crossing my fingers, sending pixie dust, and hoping the news is good!
